Enabling Quality of Life in Young People with multiple disabilities and Complex and Intense Support Needs: from Theory to Practice

24 septembre 2016 - Milan (Italie)
This is the first conference in Italy which focuses on children and youngsters with multiple disabilities and with very intensive and complex support needs (in english usually designated by the name "profound intellectual and multiple disability" or PIMD, in French by the name "polyhandicapés"). The main idea of the conference is to present relevant research, intervention practice and training models of how to improve quality of life of children with complex and intensive support needs (CISN), and their inclusion in social life and education. The purpose is to be a "forum" of exchange of innovative ideas and good practices, which are practicable and directly applicable by daily support staff and parents, yet based on good evidence.
Maximum number of 200 participants
