Introduction to Web Accessibility course

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the Unesco Institute for Information Technologies in Education (Unesco IITE) are launching a new online Introduction to Web Accessibility course in January 2020. The course, which is free to take, is aimed at both technical and non-technical audiences both with and without experience of web accessibility. The course will give a good foundation in digital accessibility, helping participants to understand how to make their websites and apps work well for everyone. It will also help participants to improve the overall user experience of their websites and apps, and ensure they meet international web accessibility standards, such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). The course is designed to take around four weeks, with about 4–5 hours of effort per week.
The scheduled start date of the course is 28 January 2020.
